Collections
We go after every dollar that is owed to your facility. First we will do a complete asset search on the resident and responsible party, if any. Then we send demand letters* to all parties involved giving them 30 days notice to pay debt or face legal action. You will receive a report each month with the accounts that we feel are ripe for lawsuits and a have high probability of a positive outcome. Then your facility would make the final decision, whether to sue or write-off debt. *sending out form letters does not satisfy the reasonable investigation requirements of the debtor’s financial position as specified by IRS § 166.2. You need a letter from an attorney or other qualified proffesionals to properly write-off bad debt.

Lawsuits
When we will file a lawsuit against the resident and/or the responsible party, or Estate, we handle all aspects of the suit from initial filing to final judgment. Every judgment we have obtained is in the name of the facility. Remember we do not take a percentage of any cash or any judgments that are adjudicated and awarded to you, the facility.

Probate
We are very knowledgeable in all areas of Probate and Elder care law. We can handle all aspects of probate cases, from filing a claim, filing suit or forcing the Executor to pay your facility, we do it all. Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities are Priority claims. This means, you will get paid before anyone else, most of the time, as long as your claim is filed properly and on time. Last illness and perfected IRS tax liens take precedence. If you receive a notice from an estate letting you know an estate has been opened, you only have 4 MONTHS to file or you will loose your claim forever (in most states).

Payment Plans
Once we have made contact with the debtor, we will offer a number of different payment options. They can set up a payment plan through us, where we will debit their bank account each month and then we issue an electronic check from the debtor’s account to your facility. We also take all credit cards, certified checks and Land Deeds.

Fees
We have set fees for all of our services. Whether we collect $100 or $100,000 we do not take a percentage.
